Lady Gaga’s loses YouTube account
2011-07-18
Even one of net video's largest stars isn't proof against copyright claims. Woman Gaga's YouTube account was postponed Thursday. The notice read the suspension was due to "multiple or serious violations of YouTube's copyright policy." By late Thursday, the account had been revived, much to the happiness of Gaga's Small Monsters. The Google Inc.-owned YouTube made no comment. It's YouTube policy to get rid of accounts after 3 copyright breaches. Reports have advised the infringing video was a latterly uploaded clip of Gaga's performance on Fuji Television . Messages left with Gaga's publicist and record label, Interscope, were not straight away returned Thursday. The account, "ladygagaofficial," is one of 2 for Gaga. The removed channel is run by Gaga's camp, while she's also got an untouched Vevo account. The Vevo account, that has more than 1.6 bln perspectives, sometimes debuts her music videos. Co-owned by Universal Music Group and Sony Entertainment, Vevo is a promo vid platform that also distributes videos on YouTube. On Thursday, Gaga's HBO concert special "Monster Ball Tour at Madison Square Garden" earned 5 Emmy Award designations.
