Data deals for iPad from 8ta

In Feb 2011, 8ta articulated 3 well priced pre paid info deals that were available only to iPad users. They were available in 3 flavours : 512MB for R120 ( R0.23 / MB ) 1GB for R160 ( R0.16 / MB ) 3GB for R299 ( R0.10 / MB ) All 3 packages carried 8ta's ordinary pre-paid out-of-bundle rate of R1 / MB. Purchasers were needed to possess an iPad purchased thru one of the official Apple resellers in S. A. , which they then had to take to an iStore with their RICA paperwork to enroll for the deal. Users then had to register on 8ta's iPad web portal to buy the special information bundles or redeem recharge vouchers on the web. With the launching of the iPad two in SA, 8ta quickly followed up in April with a press release the information packages were also available to iPad two users. Nonetheless these deals appeared to all of a sudden disperse, with nary an 8ta SIM to be found at iStores. Earlier today, 8ta claimed thru its Twitter feed that it "has upgraded all systems supporting iPad bundles" and that Core Group, official peddlers of Apple products in S. A. , have reinstated 8ta iPad bundle sales at all iStore branches.
