Off the hook with LLU
2011-12-02
The Independent Communications Authority of S. A. narrated on thirty Nov that wireless local loop unbundling won't form an element of their recently revealed LLU plans. ICASA claimed that "for the boundaries of this [LLU] enquiry, access to the local loop refers back to the standard fixed network, and not access to the mobile of fixed wireless network". But the regulator declared that they may do an enquiry into the unbundling of wireless access networks. "The Authority will address access to wireless networks in an investigation and a doggedness will then be made regarding whether to conduct a Market Review into wireless access networks," ICASA expounded.
